Improved and New Drive Units for Montech’s TB40 Belt conveyors

Targeted redesign of the TB40 drive units for higher speeds, flexible applications, and optimized connections

(PresseBox) (Charlotte, )
With a targeted redesign, Montech has further developed the drive units of the TB40 belt conveyor. In addition to introducing a third gearbox version for lighter loads with higher conveying speeds, the connection layout has been specifically improved.

Montech has specialized for over 60 years in the industrialization and standardization of advanced and exceptional conveyors, transfer systems, and innovative aluminum framing systems. The technology company is constantly striving to improve its products and find new innovative solutions. With the redesign of the TB40 belt conveyor’s drive units, it has optimized them and now offers an even more targeted product range.

New connection layout for more protection and flexibility

The motor connection is now angled at 90 degrees, making it less exposed and thus better protected in case of potential collisions. Another advantage is the variable orientation: the cable outlet direction can be adjusted in 90-degree steps. Customers can define the desired orientation directly during online configuration or, if necessary, adjust it afterwards with just a few simple steps.

New gearbox version for lighter loads

In addition to the improved connection layout, Montech has expanded the TB40 conveyor’s drive portfolio with a third gearbox option. This version is ideal for applications with lighter loads but higher conveying speeds. New conveying speeds of 32.8 to 147.6 ft/min are now possible with a maximum load of 110 lbs. It perfectly complements the two existing gearbox versions: one conveys loads up to 176 lbs with speeds of 3.3 to 109.9 ft/min, the other handles loads up to 441 lbs with speeds of 0.82 to 39.4 ft/min. With these targeted enhancements, the TB40 conveyor now offers an even more flexible solution for a wide range of conveying requirements while simultaneously increasing operational safety.
