MAPAL spendet 20.000 Euro für Kinder in Not

Als zukunfts- und werteorientiertes Unternehmen versteht sich MAPAL als aktiver Teil der Gesellschaft. Unternehmerisches Handeln ist seit jeher verbunden mit sozialem Engagement auf verschiedenen Ebenen. Zum Jahreswechsel 2013/14 hat MAPAL auf die sonst üblichen Geschenke an Kunden und Geschäftspartner verzichtet, um den weltweit tätigen Verein SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. mit einer Spende in Höhe von 20.000 Euro zu unterstützen. Das Geld soll der SOS-Kinderdorf-Einrichtung im philippinischen Tacloban zugutekommen. Die elf Familienhäuser des Kinderdorfes sind durch Wirbelsturm „Haiyan“, der im November über die Philippinen fegte, schwer beschädigt und zum Teil komplett zerstört worden. „Wir hoffen, dass wir mit unserer Spende dazu beitragen können, dass die Kinder schnell wieder in ihr gewohntes Zuhause und in die Obhut ihrer Kinderdorfmütter zurückkehren können. Das Ausmaß der Taifun-Katastrophe macht uns sehr betroffen. Deshalb möchten wir helfen“, so Dr. Dieter Kress, der Geschäftsführende Gesellschafter von MAPAL.
