EuroBLECH 2010:

Sheet metal working industry is on the up again

(PresseBox) (St Albans, )
EuroBLECH 2010, the world’s largest technology exhibition for sheet metal working, has opened its doors today at the Hanover exhibition grounds in Germany. Until Saturday, 30th October, 1,455 exhibitors from 43 countries will showcase their latest machines, materials, tools and services for sheet metal working.

“We are very happy with this year’s exhibitor numbers which are only some 4% below the figures of the record exhibition in 2008”, says Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director EuroBLECH on behalf of the organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “The exhibitor numbers demonstrate that the sheet metal working industry has managed the crisis and is now on the up again.”

“For the 21st International Technology Exhibition for Sheet Metal Working we have chosen the theme ‘Time for Innovation’. For the companies in this industry sector it is important to now set the course for the future by sourcing the right equipment,” explains Nicola Hamann. “At many stands the products and services on display focus upon energy efficiency, flexibility, sustainability, new materials and innovative fabrication processes”, says Nicola Hamann.

The percentage of international exhibitors at EuroBLECH 2010 has gone up again compared to the previous show: 46% of the participating companies come from outside Germany this year. After Germany and Italy, Turkey now represents the third largest exhibitor group. Participation from Asia, in particular from India and China, has also increased. The percentage of exhibitors from the USA, however, has decreased since the previous exhibition.

This year it will be the 10th anniversary for EuroBLECH at the Hanover exhibition grounds. EuroBLECH 2010 covers seven halls at the world’s largest exhibition centre, halls 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 27. The exhibition profile reflects the complete value creation chain of sheet metal working: Sheet metal, semi-finished and finished products, handling, separation, forming, flexible sheet metal working, tube/section working, joining/welding, surface technology, tool technology, process control and quality assurance, CAD/CAM applications, factory equipment, safety at work and R&D.

A number of seminars and events take place alongside the exhibition. Detailed information about the exhibition and the events programme can be found on the show website www.euroblech.com. Smart phone users will find information at www.eb2go.de or the respective iPhone App.

EuroBLECH 2010 is open from today, 26 October to Friday, 29 October 2010, from 09:00 - 18:00 and on Saturday, 30 October 2010, from 09:00 - 16:00.
