Fürth-based company LEONHARD KURZ, a specialist in thin-film technology and surface finishing, has been awarded the silver medal in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating 2025. KURZ improved its rating in all categories assessed compared to the previous year and is now among the top 15 percent of all companies rated worldwide. Within its industry, the company even ranks among the top 6 percent. The EcoVadis rating is based on international sustainability standards and assesses the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The award recognizes companies that implement their commitment to sustainability in a systematic and transparent manner.

Under the motto ‘Be a green leader,’ KURZ consistently pursues its sustainability goals and continuously optimizes its own products and processes - with the long-term goal of becoming completely CO2-neutral by 2040. The regular adjustments and improvements in sustainability are reflected in the EcoVadis rating: Compared to the previous year, the company has improved significantly in all areas assessed. Among other things, KURZ has made a big leap forward in the areas of ethics and labor and human rights. The assessment shows that the introduction of additional measures has a positive effect on the company's development in terms of sustainability.
