Der neue Leistungsmesser HP60A-15KW-GD von Gentec-EO ist für die hohen Intensitäten von leistungsstarken Lasern mit vergleichsweise kleinen Strahldurchmessern (< 50 mm) ausgelegt. Mit einer Zerstörschwelle von 10 kW/cm² hält er Dauerleistungen bis zu 15 kW stand. Ein Goldkegelreflektor reflektiert das einfallende Licht an die Seiten der Apertur, sodass die Intensität des Strahls effektiv auf eine größere Fläche verteilt wird. Diese ist mit einem vom Hersteller entwickelten Absorber mit hoher Zerstörschwelle beschichtet. Da das Licht in das Innere des wassergekühlten Detektors umgelenkt wird, entstehen im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Flächenabsorbern nur sehr wenige Rückreflektionen. Daher ist es problemlos möglich, das Gerät in kompakte optische Aufbauten zu integrieren.

Der HP60A-15KW-GD ist mit einer integrierten USB-Schnittstelle zum direkten Betrieb an einem Windows- PC, sowie mit dem “intelligenten” DB15-Stecker zum Anschluss an die Anzeigegeräte des Anbieters ausgestattet. Außerdem ist eine Version mit integriertem Wireless- Modul (BLU) verfügbar, bei der sich die Messergebnisse über eine kostenlose App auf iOS- und Android-Mobilgeräten anzeigen lassen. Bei einer Reichweite von bis zu 30 Metern lässt sich das hierbei verwendete Low-Energy-Bluetooth-Protokoll auch in industriellen Umgebungen zuverlässig einsetzen.
