Es ist soweit. Holo/OR präsentiert ein diffratives optisches Vortex-Element mit Donut- Struktur. Der Clou daran: Außen ist das Profil quadratisch, innen rund. Die technischen Herausforderungen, einen quadratischen äußeren Querschnitt zu erzielen, waren enorm. Der Vorteil ist jedoch beeindruckend: mit diesen Elementen ist es bei der Lasermaterialbearbeitung es möglich, einen homogenen Materialabtrag mit höchster Effizienz erzielen.

Vortex-DOEs erfreuen sich generell höchster Beliebtheit. Die Bauteile stellen wenig Ansprüche an den Laserstrahl oder den Abstand zur Bearbeitungsebene. Der weitere Vorteil liegt in der Intensitätsverteilung des Laserstrahls beim Einsatz des Elements. Ein Laserstrahl hat mit seinem Gaußprofil die höchste Strahlintensität in der Mitte, die mit dem Vortex-Element auf den Rand "umgeleitet" wird - die Effizienz des Systems steigt.
