New Swept O-band and C-Band Laser Source

For R&D applications and production testing

(PresseBox) (Olching, )
LASER COMPONENTS offers the Laser 2000 Series swept laser from Quantifi Photonics; a laboratory grade O-band or C-band tunable laser that can be operated as both a step tuned or swept wavelength laser source.   Available in three wavelength ranges: 1250 – 1350nm, 1350 – 1450nm, 1520 – 1620nm and in PXie or compact benchtop packages.

The Laser 2000 Series uses a high-quality grating paired with state of the art micro electromechanics tuning mechanism for quick, voltage controlled wavelength tuning and exceptional reliability.   With 0.01dB power stability and 400nm/s high-speed scan rate, it is the perfect time saving tool for R&D applications as well as production testing.

Many devices, waveguides, and photonic integrated circuits (PIC) have wavelength dependent performance that needs to be characterised and tested.  By utilising rapid wavelength scanning, a single laser source like the Laser 2000 Series can quickly scan the typical wavelength ranges utilised by such applications as DWDM and CWDM optical datacom and telecom transmission signals.

The rapid, consistent, and stable sweep characteristic of the Laser 2000 Series coupled with its built-in synchronisation trigger inputs and outputs, allows users to synchronise the laser sweep with other measurement tools such as fast optical power meters, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and more.

Laser Components Germany GmbH

LASER COMPONENTS was founded by Günther Paul as a sales company in 1982. Neither the EU nor the euro existed at that time. It was almost impossible for companies to import components from abroad; we became the reliable partner for imported components. Much has changed since then: The internet has made the world smaller, start-ups have become major players, and last but not least, we have also continued to develop.

However, we have always stayed true to our core business: the production and sale of optical and optoelectronic components.

LASER COMPONENTS has grown over the years. In 1986 the first production facility was opened in Germany; sales branches were founded in France, Great Britain, Sweden, and the U.S.A.; and production facilities were set up in Canada and the U.S.A.

The most important resource in our company's history is our employees; many a 20-year employee anniversary has already been celebrated. Long-term employment relationships ensure our know-how, and we are convinced that we are on the right track with this tradition!
