CAL Sensors hat das pulsbare IR-Strahlermodul SPF220-5M2 mit einer Miniaturelektronik zu einer kompakten Baugruppe kombiniert. Diese wird unter dem Handelsnamen PIREPLUS von LASER COMPONENTS vertrieben.

Die Komponenten sind passend für 14 Pin IC-Sockel und benötigen eine Versorgungsspannung von 5 oder 12 VDC. Bei 730°C liegt die Peaktemperatur der Strahlermodule, die bei 5 µm emittieren. Selbst bei 180 Hz liegt die Modulationstiefe der PIRE PLUS noch bei 50%.
