The EGR valve has been developed for use with car diesel engines yet, given its very good controllability in particular at minimum mass flow rates, it can also be used for lowering emissions and fuel consumption on gasoline engines.
The compact design and its implementation as a so-called sandwich construction allows maximum flexibility under a wide variety of installation conditions. The interfaces for the electrical connection and the flange geometry as well as the required valve cross-section can be adapted to customer specifications.
Options on this valve, which comes with integrated fail-safe functionality and contactless position feedback, are water cooling and double-sided bearing of the regulating flap. In addition, a newly developed sealing element has brought about a significant reduction in internal leakage.
