Drupal-Community trifft sich in Köln

Am 17. und 18. Januar kommen in Köln mehr als 200 Entwickler, Designer und Projektmanager aus ganz Deutschland zum DrupalCamp (http://drupalcamp.de) zusammen. Den Kongress rund um das Open-Source Content-Management-System gestaltet die Community selbst. Wie bei BarCamps üblich, bestimmen die Teilnehmer Ablauf und Inhalte der Veranstaltung. Das DrupalCamp findet in den Räumen des IT-Schulungsunternehmens GFU (www.gfu.net) statt, das genau wie die Kölner Internet Union (www.k-i-u.de) zu den Sponsoren der Veranstaltung zählt und die Drupal-Initiative zur Förderung der Drupal-Community unterstützt.
In sechs unterschiedlichen Themenräumen werden deutsche und englische Vorträge gehalten, es werden Programmierworkshops angeboten, Business-Kontakte geknüpft, die Teilnehmer treffen sich zu Projektmeetings und zum Brainstorming und es gibt Seminare, die sich speziell an Einsteiger richten.
Die Erfahrungen und Ergebnisse des Treffens sollen anschließend in einem DrupalCon Proposal zusammengeführt werden. Damit wird die Community sich dann bewerben: Im August oder September 2009 soll die DrupalCon stattfinden, eine große Drupal-Konferenz mit ca. 1.000 Teilnehmern. Ziel ist es, diese internationale Veranstaltung nach Deutschland zu holen.
