Englische Lautsprechermarke Epos überrascht mit neuer preisgünstiger Epic-Serie

reson bringt drei neue preisgünstige Lautsprecher von Epos UK: das Regalmodell Epic1, den Epic 2 für Aufstellung auf einem Ständer und den Standlautsprecher Epic 5

Die neue Epos Epic-Serie definiert den Massstab dafür, was mit modernen Materialien und computergestütztem Design erreichbar ist. Ziel war es, Lautsprecher mit solchen Qualitäten zu entwickeln, dass sie unabhängig vom Preis einen Vergleich mit den Besten nicht zu scheuen brauchen. Epos hat nun die Lautsprecherchassis in drei Grössen, sowie die Frequenzweichen völlig neu konzipiert und so abgestimmt, dass eine Lautsprecherserie mit sowohl detailreicherem, als auch markanterem Klang dabei herausgekommen ist. Die Optik erinnert an die Ursprünge der Marke Epos in den Achtzigerjahren, dabei stören jedoch weder Schrauben noch Abdeckungen die eleganten Linien der charakteristischen abnehmbaren Frontverkleidung. Im Lieferumfang der Epic-Serie ist eine Austausch-Frontblende mit Stoffabdeckung enthalten. Zur Montage der Stoffabdeckung muss die Frontblende abgenommen werden, wofür Epos ein praktisches Werkzeug mitliefert. Die britische Lautsprechermarke Epos ist unter der Obhut von Michael Creek, was vielver-sprechend ist für das Weiterführen der legendären Epos-Qualität und das Anwenden des be-währten Creek-Mottos: möglichst viel Klang für wenig Geld. Epos Lautsprecher zeichnen sich besonders durch klangliche Qualitäten im Bereich Transparenz, Rhythmus/Timing und Dynamik der Wiedergabe aus. Der Referenzlautsprecher Encore 50 geht damit nochmals eine deutlichen Schritt weiter und weist den Weg für zukünftige Epos-Neuentwicklungen, wie nun die neue Epic-Serie.
