Reliance Globalcom und Juniper Networks skalieren das Metro Area Network

Reliance Globalcom und Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), führendes Unternehmen im Bereich der Hochleistungs-Netzwerke, rüsten das Metro-Netzwerk der Data Division von Reliance Globalcom mit Ethernet-Services-Routern der MX-Serie sowie Multiservice-Edge-Routern des Typs M120 von Juniper Networks auf. Somit können sie in wichtigen Regionen der USA 10 Gigabit-Ethernet (GbE) und mehr unterstützen. Die Upgrade-Maßnahme macht Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) und Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) bis in den Edge-Bereich verfügbar, erhöht die Netzwerk-Leistung und gewährleistet die nötige Skalierbarkeit, um dem künftigen wachsenden Kapazitätsbedarf gerecht zu werden.

Die leistungsfähige Netzwerk-Infrastruktur von Juniper Networks war schon bisher ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Core-Netzes von Reliance Globalcom. Jetzt geht Reliance Globalcom daran, das neue Juniper-Equipment in seine bereits auf Juniper-Produkten basierende, weltumspannende Ethernet-VPLS- Plattform zu integrieren. Reliance Globalcom erhält mit diesem Deployment eine servicetaugliche Netzwerk-Infrastruktur, um VoIP und hochauflösende Videokonferenzen bereitzustellen. Auch wird die Sicherung und Wiederherstellung der Daten sichergestellt und elektronischer Handel sowie geschäftliche Multimedia-Applikationen unterbrechungsfrei verfügbar gemacht. Abgesehen davon unterstützt das neue Netzwerk Firmenkunden aus dem Finanzdienstleistungs-Sektor mit einer Service-Zuverlässigkeit auf Carrier-Niveau.
