Dr. Thomas Kessler is the new CEO of Schneider-Kreuznach

Dr. Thomas Kessler will be the new CEO of Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH as of 1 January 2016. He will initially be responsible for Development, Sales and Risk Management. “We are delighted to have Dr. Kessler on board. As a recognized expert in the field of optical technology, he will help to strengthen our position in the future in the area of industrial solutions, entertainment imaging and photography,” said Dr. Walther Neussel, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH. Wolfgang Selzer, co-CEO in charge of Production, Administration and Supply Chain Management at the optical specialist is retiring on 31 March 2016, but will continue to support the company for six months in an advisory role. From April 2016, Dr. Kessler will be the company’s sole Chief Executive Officer. “I am looking forward to the new challenges. Schneider-Kreuznach is a brand of world renown. We want to help our customers to successfully resolve their ambitious tasks and at the same time consolidate and expand our market position,” said Dr. Thomas Kessler.

Dr. Thomas Kessler was born in 1966. He worked at Schott AG from 1999 to 2008, most recently as Director Product Management & Sales. In 2009, he changed to Edmund Optics, where he was Executive Vice President Global Sales from 2011 onwards.
