Metal bellows coupling KSD - For fast tests

Torsionally rigid, flexible couplings are particularly recommended for use in special high-speed test benches. Their thin metal bellows have balancing and vibration-damping properties. The high flexibility of Jakob's KSD couplings with their 6-wave bellows and the easy installation of the coupling thanks to the use of conical bushings as a shaft-hub connection guarantee a safe transmission of all forces and torques, even with small shaft diameters and without an additional feather key . These couplings are characterized by high torsional rigidity, minimal restoring forces in the event of shaft misalignment and low moment of inertia. The high torsional stiffness and the very low restoring forces in the event of shaft misalignment as well as the low moment of inertia characterize this coupling type. They can handle torques ranging from 10 to 4000 Nm. The KSD couplings stand for first-class workmanship and the use of high-quality materials, making them a reliable and cost-efficient component. In addition to their use in test benches as a highlighted example, these couplings are also commonly used in servo and actuator drives.
