iTAC on show at productronica: Industry 4.0 solutions for the Connected Industry

Cross-supply chain Business Intelligence and Big Data solutions encounter apps and Apple devices in the smart factory

(PresseBox) (Montabaur, )
This year's trade fair presence of iTAC Software AG (www.itacsoftware.com) at productronica focuses on the Connected Industry. From November 10 to 13, the MES manufacturer will be displaying its solutions for the networked factory at the exhibition centre in Munich (booth 226, hall A3). One of the innovations is release 8.50 of the iTAC.MES.Suite in combination with a new application server conformant with Java EE 7, the iTAC.App.Server. The company will also be presenting a cross-supply chain, big data application based on state-of-the-art communication technologies from iTAC. Further highlights are the Public Cloud MES and a portfolio of APS solutions based on the iTAC.ARTES middleware.

iTAC Software AG specialises in developing modern communication technologies for the manufacturing industry. The company's portfolio includes the Manufacturing Execution System iTAC.MES.Suite, the middleware iTAC.ARTES, the Java EE application server iTAC.AppServer, the iTAC.BI.Portal, and the Java EE development platform iTAC.Enterprise.Framework. This development environment, which is based on the Java EE 7 standard, enables the realisation of process and custom software applications for global IT projects.

Intelligent software meets devices for networked processes
At productronica 2015, iTAC will be presenting various innovations that will take Connected Industry applications to new heights. The new release iTAC.MES.Suite 8.50 now incorporates iTAC.App.Server. This application server offers considerably greater availability and operational reliability for the solution as a whole, which is crucial for running Industry 4.0 applications on a 24/7 basis.

The iTAC.Enterprise.Framework has also been enhanced with a new feature called iTAC.Factory.AppStudio. This is a graphical development tool for the plug & play development of proprietary apps for iOS and Android-based smart devices such as the iPad, iPhone, etc. As a NetBeans plugin, iTAC.Factory.AppStudio seamlessly integrates into the NetBeans-based iTAC.Enterprise.Framework system landscape.

At the trade fair, iTAC will also be demonstrating its cloud-based MES with integrated APS as a Public Cloud solution. The world's first SMT manufacturing process at MID-TRONIC Wiesauplast GmbH has already been successfully equipped with this Industry 4.0-compliant, cloud-based MES solution. Trade visitors will also be able to learn about innovations from the "Smart Electronic Factory e.V." project. For instance, OPC UA communication technologies have been successfully tested and adapted to the commercial control systems and components from the Bosch Rexroth Group, as well as other devices, in the evaluation environment at the "smart electronic factory" using IoT-capable devices. The end-product is a control circuit that can be extended at will with cloud-based online services.

Another highlight is the iTAC.Trace.Server. This is an MES appliance with an integrated Java EE application server together with a high-performance database. The product allows the entire manufacturing process of a product to be traced. This self-supporting solution offers - unconnected with the installation of an MES - an active traceability functional capability including process locking. It is therefore an ideal solution for SMBs in line with the plug & produce principle.
