In order to modernize its own IT landscape from the ground up and thus drive forward the digitalization of all processes and systems, trendtours Touristik GmbH has entered into a strategic partnership with the IT company ISO Travel Solutions GmbH from Nuremberg. ISO successfully implemented the first phase with challenging requirements in an agile project in a short period of time. To this end, ISO has configured its Pacific modular tour operator system to meet trendtours' needs. In addition, the modular ISO Internet Booking Engine was adapted to trendtours' requirements, and the travel agency systems Bistro, TOMA, and traffics were connected for the first time. Furthermore, the project team moved the complete website "trendtours.de" to the content management system of ISO Travel Solutions within a few weeks. Both partners cooperated very closely here and implemented the individual needs of trendtours in an agile and successful manner.
In addition to a significantly improved booking ability across all distribution systems, the new central trendtours reservation system from ISO Travel Solutions ensures that all booking data is transferred in parallel to internal systems such as financial accounting and the data warehouse. Furthermore, ISO has connected all well-known charter airlines via pooling interfaces on the purchasing side. To automate hotel purchasing to a large extent, the development team implemented the extranet and adapted the contract import to the trendtours specifications.
This means that trendtours has taken a major step towards digitizing its processes to maintain and expand its position among the top 10 German tour operators in the future.
