Amid increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions, rapid technology advancements, and the demand for greater operational efficiency, OEMs across industrial and commercial sectors are accelerating their battery-electrification strategies. Many material handling applications demand more power and energy to electrify powertrain systems and typically run above 60 volts. While high voltage batteries offer faster charging and more efficient power delivery, certain considerations must be made for optimal performance, efficiency, and safety.

To aid OEMs in their transition to high voltage lithium-ion battery technology, Inventus Power  applied its expertise in motive power systems and advanced modular architecture to develop a next-generation high-voltage battery platform: the HV-24 System.

The HV-24 System is built around modular 24V, 2.7kWh Li-ion batteries paired with the HV-PDM-450 (Power Distribution Module). Designed to support a wide range of applications—from light-duty utility vehicles to heavy-duty forklifts—it provides the flexibility and power required in today’s electrified equipment. The HV-24 System easily supports up to 120V forklift platforms and other material-handling equipment, offering scalable capacity up to 86kWh to meet specific runtime requirements.

Engineered with safety at its core, the HV-24 System is designed and certified to UL standards, providing OEMs with a trusted high-voltage solution for material handling equipment. To support year-round operation, even in extreme climates, the HV-24 System offers a cold-weather package with a fully integrated heater that ensures consistent power and optimal battery health in low-temperature conditions.

The HV-24 System enables the following benefits:
  • Faster charging / Opportunity charging
  • Optimal power output during heavy use
  • Predictable maintenance planning
  • Precise state-of-charge reporting
  • Enhanced battery safety features including advanced monitoring
  • Less energy wasted → lower electricity costs
Lithium-ion batteries can drive significant advancements in productivity, energy efficiency, equipment uptime, safety, and total cost of ownership. As a result, an increasing number of modern material handling OEMs are adopting Li-ion solutions—fueling the rise of high-performance battery systems like Inventus Power’s HV-24, purpose-built for heavy-duty and demanding applications.
