Neues EXTRA-Info "Simulation in der Massivumformung" erschienen

Die vollständig neu konzipierte Ausgabe im Rahmen der EXTRA-Info-Reihe "Simulation in der Massivumformung" stellt die vielfältigen Anwendungsbereiche und Weiterentwicklungen von Simulationssystemen vor.

In Verbindung mit den in naher Zukunft zu erwartenden Forschungsergebnissen wird aufgezeigt, dass die Entwicklung von virtuellen Werkzeugen im Bereich der Massivumformung voranschreitet. Entwicklungen im Bereich der Grundlagenforschung, die auf ein besseres Verständnis der Vorgänge in Werkstück und Werkzeug abzielen und dadurch neue Möglichkeiten für gezielten technischen Fortschritt eröffnen, werden erläutert. Eine Vielzahl von Unternehmen der Branche und Instituten haben sich an diesem Heft beteiligt. Dadurch bietet das Heft einen umfangreichen Querschnitt der in den Massivumform-Unternehmen vorhandenen Anwendungen.

Das Heft richtet sich in erster Linie an die Kunden der Massivumformung. Es ist jedoch auch für den Bereich Ausbildung im weitesten Sinn gut geeignet.

Die deutsche Version "Simulation in der Massivumformung" als auch die englische Version "Simulation of forging processes" umfassen jeweils 63 Seiten und sind kostenlos abrufbar bei Dorothea Bachmann Osenberg, E-Mail: osenberg@metalform.
