Da der direkte Weg zum Urlaubsort nur selten der schönste ist, nehmen viele Camper ihre Motorräder und Roller huckepack - im Caravan, im oder am Wohnmobil oder auf dem Hänger.
Der Industrie-Verband Motorrad (IVM) präsentierte vom 29.08. - 06.09.09 eine Auswahl aufregender und für den Shuttle in die Sonne idealer Motorräder und Roller. Bikes, die dafür sorgen, dass mit dem Abstellen des Wohnmobils oder Caravans am Traumstrand die Mobilität nicht endet und der Fahrspaß erst richtig beginnt.
Dazu gehören auch Transportmöglichkeiten für Motorräder und Roller praktisch jeder Baugröße. Der IVM zeigte u.a. BMW Motorräder der Firma Wunderlich, retro gestylte Triumph Bonneville und Thruxton, die Roller Peugeot SRX 125, Speedforce und Ludix, Sym Symphonie und Fiddle, den Derbi Boulevard, ein Triton Quad und das Pedelec (Pedel electric cycle - elektrounterstütztes Fahrrad) Grand Tour.
Ein weiterer Magnet am IVM Stand war der Wohnwagen Dethleffs Vari 530, der durch eine komfortable Heckklappe zur Motorradgarage wird. Aber auch Lift-Systeme von Sawiko zum Huckepack-Transport am Heck von Wohnmobilen stießen auf großes Interesse.
Interessant ist dieser Mix aus Mobilität und Erlebnis am Urlaubsort nicht zuletzt für Besitzer von Autoführerscheinen, die vor dem 1. April 1980 ausgestellt wurden - denn sie berechtigen zum Fahren von Motorrädern und Rollern bis 125 m³ und sind zusammen mit der im PKW-Führerschein eingeschlossenen 50 cm³-Klasse die leichteste Art zu biken, wo es am schönsten ist.
