Saar-Arbeitsmarkt bleibt deutlich unter Druck

„Die Rezessionsjahre hinterlassen inzwischen deutliche Spuren am saarländischen Arbeitsmarkt. Zum wiederholten Mal ist die Arbeitslosigkeit auf Jahressicht gestiegen, während die Beschäftigung gesunken ist. Angesichts des hohen Anpassungsdrucks in der Industrie, hoher Kostenbelastungen in der Wirtschaft insgesamt sowie weltwirtschaftlicher Verwerfungen ist diese Entwicklung nicht überraschend. Diese Belastungsfaktoren wirken auch im Jahr 2026 fort. Das von uns prognostizierte Miniwachstum von bis zu 0,5 Prozent im Saarland wird daher nicht ausreichen, um eine Trendwende am Arbeitsmarkt einzuleiten. Vielmehr rechnen wir mit einem weiteren Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit sowie mit einem spürbaren Beschäftigungsabbau von bis zu 3.500 Stellen. Für eine Trendwende am Arbeitsmarkt muss die Politik jetzt rasch einen klaren wirtschaftspolitischen Kurswechsel einleiten, der arbeitsplatzschaffende Investitionen am Standort Deutschland wieder rentabel macht.“ So kommentierte IHK-Hauptgeschäftsführer Dr. Frank Thomé die heute (7. Januar) von der Bundesagentur für Arbeit, Regionaldirektion, vorgelegten Arbeitsmarktzahlen.
