„Die gute Wachstumsentwicklung im vergangenen Jahr unterstreicht einmal mehr, dass die Saarwirtschaft strukturell gut aufgestellt ist und unsere Industrie auf den Weltmärkten punkten kann. Die größten Wachstumsbeiträge kamen von unseren industriellen Schwergewichten – dem Fahrzeugbau und dem Maschinenbau, die ihr Exportgeschäft deutlich steigern konnten. Maßgebliche Wachstumsimpulse steuerten aber auch das Ernährungsgewerbe sowie die Gummi- und Kunststoffindustrie bei. Für das laufende Jahr sind wir vorsichtig optimistisch. Wir erwarten ein Saar-Wachstum von rund 1,5 Prozent.“
