Implico Debuts at the Tank World Expo 2016 in Dubai

Focus on the latest OpenTAS release and cloud solutions/Joint stand with hardware partner Timm Elektronik

(PresseBox) (Hamburg, Dubai, )
This year, the Implico Group will be showing its downstream solutions for the first time at the Tank World Expo in Dubai – the most important tank storage event in the Middle East and Africa. From 12 to 13 April, the international software and consulting company will be offering a sneak peek at the upcoming version of the OpenTAS terminal automation system; another highlight will be the iGOS cloud solution. At Stand D18 Implico will be joining forces with Timm Elektronik, developer and manufacturer of electronic measurement and control devices for use in hazardous environments.

No other region in the world produces as much oil as the Middle East. Several of the world's largest oil exporting countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Iraq, are here, and in close proximity to key markets such as India and China. That makes the Middle East an important hub for the tank storage industry. "There is real vibrancy about the region at the moment. This is generating great demand for services related to process automation in tank terminals – port cargo handling, for example," says Michael Martens, Managing Partner of the Implico Group. "Our innovative cloud solutions in particular can help to stimulate continued growth, as they provide an inexpensive way of maximizing the efficiency of the terminal processes. The Tank World Expo is therefore a ‘must-attend’ event for us."

At Stand D18, the Implico Group's downstream experts will be revealing details of the latest version of OpenTAS, the terminal management software for tank farms and refineries. The company will also be demonstrating the many benefits of its cloud solutions. Thanks to iGOS (Implico Global Operation Services), tank terminal operators can migrate their entire supply chain to the cloud along with the interface to their collaborating partners. Very low costs, improved data quality, a leaner organization and great flexibility are just some of the benefits of cloud solutions for downstream companies.

Hardware and software hand in hand

Visitors will also be able to find the latest hardware solutions at Stand D18, where Timm Elektronik, a long-standing Implico partner and European market leader for grounding control devices, will be showing its Overfill Prevention Controller EUS-2 for bottom loading tank trucks. Dr. Alexander Zelck, Head of Sales, will be in attendance to answer questions on the North German company's product range, which includes terminals, card readers and the latest generation of marine grounding systems. "Implico and Timm Elektronik have been involved with many successful joint projects in the past. Together we can offer terminal operators everything they need to ensure the safety, efficiency and smooth running of their processes," said Dr. Thomas Overbeck, CEO and owner of Timm Elektronik.
