Mit Imations direkt bedruckbaren DVD-Medien erhalten Urlaubsvideos, private Filmkopien oder MP3 Musiksammlungen mühelos auch äußerlich das passende Design. In einem kompatiblen Tintenstrahl oder Thermoprinter werden die Scheiben direkt bedruckt. Die hochwertige Druckfläche reicht bis zum inneren Rand der Disk und bietet viel Gestaltungsraum für individuelles Design in Top-Qualität. Die neue Produktlinie direkt bedruckbarer DVDs hat Imation in Zusammenarbeit mit führenden Druckexperten entwickelt.

Schluss mit flatternden Scheiben
Für die individuelle Beschriftung von CD-Rs und DVDs werden bislang meistens Papier- oder Kunststofflabels mit selbstklebender Rückseite genutzt, die manuell auf das Medium aufgebracht werden müssen. Beim Einsatz in Hochgeschwindigkeits-Laufwerken, die mit mehreren tausend Umdrehungen pro Minute operieren, muss ein selbstklebendes Label exakt im Zentrum der Disk angelegt werden. Ansonsten kann es passieren, dass die Disk während des Lese- oder Schreibprozesses zu „flattern“ beginnt, was zu Lese-/Schreibfehler und im schlimmsten Fall zu Beschädigungen des Speichermediums oder des Laufwerkes führen kann. Dieses Risiko wird durch den direkten Druck auf das Medium ausgeschlossen.
