With the constant growth of E-Commerce and increasing pressure on delivery speed, costs and sustainability, fulfillment and logistics operations are facing ever more complex packaging challenges. The need to process a growing variety of orders efficiently, while reducing waste and dimensional shipping costs, is reshaping the way packaging automation is designed.

At LogiMAT 2026 (Hall 6, Stand 6B18), IMA E-COMMERCE will showcase a portfolio of automated packaging technologies developed to help E-Tailers, 3PLs and Intralogistics providers respond to these challenges with flexibility and scale.

From box selection to optimized shipping

IMA’s E-CO Flex solutions for box forming and closing are designed to automatically select, erect, adjust and seal the most suitable carton for each order.
Covering a wide range of formats, including XL configurations for larger boxes, the systems handle FEFCO 200 and FEFCO 201 cases in single-wall and double-wall corrugated cardboard.

Boxes are 100% recyclable thanks to Water Activated Tape (WAT) application.

Integrated with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), E-CO Flex solutions reduce manual intervention, minimize void fill and allow operators to focus on higher-value tasks, while lowering dimensional shipping costs and material consumption.

Precision lidding and reliable sealing

For applications requiring lids, E-CO Flex Lidding applies best-fit-to-size lids to FEFCO 200 cases after real-time detection of box dimensions. By combining automatic lid selection with integrated height reduction, the system ensures consistent protection of goods and optimized package dimensions across multiple box footprints.

Random case sealing is handled by E-CO Flex SealMatic, a high-speed solution for FEFCO 201 boxes that seals both top and bottom using water-activated tape, with optional labeling and quality control features.

Adaptable bags for E-Commerce

Completing the portfolio, BagMate introduces a different approach to E-Commerce packaging by producing right-sized paper bags directly from roll-fed material.
By adapting bag length to the scanned size of the products and preventing empty packaging, BagMate helps reduce material waste while supporting easy opening, resealing for returns and full package traceability.

Designed for today, ready for what’s next

Designed for both greenfield and brownfield sites, IMA’s E-Commerce packaging technologies combine modular automation, sustainability and scalability.
Together, the E-CO Flex system and BagMate help logistics operations turn packaging automation into a strategic advantage, improving efficiency, reducing environmental impact and supporting future growth.
