Product preview automatica: Image processing for automation and robotics at booth B5.203

"We make Machine Vision simple": IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH

(PresseBox) (Obersulm, )
automatica will take place in Munich from 27 to 30 June 2023. The industrial camera manufacturer IDS will present optimally coordinated new technologies from the 2D, 3D and AI vision sectors at booth B5.203, which enable users to quickly create individual image processing solutions - whether as embedded or PC-based systems.

IDS NXT malibu: Embedded Vision with AI – Inference now even faster

Intelligent cameras can optimise processes, increase productivity and reduce operating costs at the same time. A new model series will be added to the IDS NXT product line from the summer. IDS NXT malibu is even more powerful than the IDS NXT rio and rome camera series. More specifically, this means that it shortens inference times by up to twenty times and can therefore execute neural networks significantly faster. In addition, the camera is able to prepare data hardware-accelerated for the compressed transmission of a video stream (H264 or MJPG). This allows for AI-based image analysis in the live image.

DENKnet: Highly complex evaluations with AI vision

Since the beginning of the year, IDS has been distributing DENKnet, a NoCode solution for AI-based image evaluation. In contrast to the embedded vision system IDS NXT, image analysis and evaluation is carried out on a PC. The training of a neural network can be started with as little as 15 images thanks to "Few Shot & Fast Track" technology. Users have all AI technologies from classification to anomaly detection at their disposal. IDS will demonstrate how powerful the system is and why it sets standards in market comparison at the trade fair stand by showing a demo system.

Ensenso C: 3D and RGB data for robotics applications

The company is presenting an additional member of the Ensenso 3D camera product line at automatica. The new Ensenso C addresses current challenges in the automation and robotics industry. Unlike other Ensenso models, it provides both 3D and RGB colour information. Customers therefore benefit from even more comprehensive image data. The camera offers a resolution of 5 MP and will initially be available with a baseline of approx. 240 mm and a little later with approx. 455 mm. This means that even large objects can be reliably captured.

uEye XLS: Tiny USB3 cameras for embedded vision

With uEye XLS, IDS presents the smallest board-level cameras in its portfolio. The models measure only 29x29x7 mm and are positioned in the low-price segment. There is no over-engineering but a consequent reduction to essential camera functions. The models are equipped with Micro-B connectors and are available with or without C/CS or S-mount lens holders and various sensors. Another advantage is the low heat generation, which makes the cameras particularly suitable for device construction
