The NATO Military Committee visited the German high-tech service provider IABG (Industrieanlagen-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH). The visit, which included NATO military representatives and members of the International Military Staff (IMS), was an important occasion to review the topic of Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD).

LtGen van Ingen, Dean of the NATO MC, emphasized: “Integrated Air and Missile Defence is of utmost importance for the Alliance.”

The simulated scenario and strategic wargaming provided by IABG offered a valuable opportunity to discuss IAMD with true experts in the field. “IAMD systems have been a cornerstone of NATO’s deterrence and defence posture since the 1950s. It is both a political message - within and beyond the Alliance - and a set of military capabilities that secure the skies, safeguard Allied territory, and protect our people in times of peace, crisis, and conflict,” says IABG CEO Prof. Dr. Schwarz.

Dr. Karsten Deiseroth, Division Manager Defence and Security, stated: “I am very glad that we were able to provide a good foundation for today’s discussions and laid the basis for further developments in the field of IAMD.”

IABG’s independence ensures objective advice for well-founded decisions. Its comprehensive testing, analysis, and simulation services guarantee transparency, predictability, and compliance. By combining scientific rigour with practical experience, its experts create solutions that strengthen operational capability and resilience.
