Real breakthroughs were achieved in 2025 in the areas of full automation of AutoStore systems and corrugated board logistics. Consequently, at LogiMAT 2026, HÖRMANN Intralogistics will be presenting disruptive material flow solutions using real, tailor-made customer projects as an example on a new, enlarged stand area

Quantum leap in automated storage systems for small parts

With an AutoStore®+ project at the musical instrument retailer W-Music Distribution in Marktneukirchen, HÖRMANN Intralogistics is driving the paradigm shift in warehouse automation. In an existing AutoStore® warehouse with 16,000 containers and five Red Line robots, which HÖRMANN Intralogistics realized for W-Music in 2022, two picking robots now take over the manual processes for incoming and outgoing goods. Both robot cells from HÖRMANN Intralogistics partner Sereact are equipped with AI-supported image recognition. By using zero-shot learning of the AI model "Kortex" and "PickGPT", the robots can recognize and grasp new objects without prior programming or data entry. This is how a Sereact robot sorts at the goods receipt the items, take them from the trolley and then load them into AutoStore® directly at the port. At outgoing goods, a robot picks up the requested items in the AutoStore® container and places them in the shipping box. The new processes will be integrated directly into the HÖRMANN Intralogistics Warehouse Management System HiLIS.

At LogiMAT, an AutoStore® module with Sereact AI picking robot will demonstrate this breakthrough to fully automated warehouse logistics, which reduces monotonous work, accelerates processes and thus enables efficient, future-proof storage solutions for small parts.

Turnkey Material Flow Solutions for the Corrugated Board Industry

With the first, complete turnkey solution, HÖRMANN Intralogistics and its partner Van den Bos Corrugated Machinery offer corrugated board manufacturers a fully integrated complete system from the corrugator to the material flow to storage and shipping. The heart of the solution is the HÖRMANN Intralogistics Warehouse Management System HiLIS, in which all processes from the ERP interface to the PLC level are mapped and controlled without interface hurdles. The almost 40 years of special corrugated board know-how of HÖRMANN Intralogistics and the specialization of the machine manufacturer Van den Bos CM for the sensitive goods complement each other to form a perfect "one-stop shop for corrugated board plants".

At LogiMAT, the management of HÖRMANN Intralogistics will be happy to provide information on the turnkey projects already successfully underway at Dunapack Mosburger Packaging in Straßwalchen (Austria) and Palm Wellpappe in Alzenau (Germany). An example of the special requirements for the gentle handling of corrugated board is an exhibit of the specially developed plastic conveyor.
