Aktisil PF 777/89 presented by HOFFMANN MINERAL in the first half of 2025 is used, among other things, to control rheological properties as part of product development. Aktisil PF 777/89, as a color-neutral enhanced version of the already established Aktisil PF 777, is particularly suitable for products that are to be used in white or light colors. Key areas of application that benefit from the properties of the new product are floor coatings and aqueous corrosion protection coatings, which also have improved mechanical properties and an attractive gloss thanks to the use of Aktisil PF 777/89. The functional filler offers high mechanical flexibility, good adhesion, and an optimized protective effect even under climatically demanding conditions. In addition to its functional and qualitative properties, it also impresses with its improved eco-balance. In contrast to the calcined products of the Silfit product family, the Neuburg Siliceous Earth in Aktisil is not thermally treated, but functionalized by the addition of special silanes. During production, by-products such as alcohols are removed as far as possible and an effective coupling reaction is ensured. Unwanted side effects when mixing through direct addition can thus be reliably avoided.
