Höft & Wessel receives an order for the next generation of TVM from üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG

(PresseBox) (Hannover, )
Höft & Wessel AG, Hanover, has received an order from the Hanover public transport operator üstra AG to replace the existing ticket vending machines with the latest generation. The 8.2 million Euro contract is the result of a European public tender procedure. Overall, Höft & Wessel offered the best concept for hardware, software and services.

The scope of the contract is the delivery and installation of the ticket vending machine almex.station as well as the necessary civil works to tram stops. In addition to an ergonomical design, a high level of security and anti-vandalism was required by üstra with Höft & Wessel‘s solution matching these requirements in best practice. A longterm service level agreement completes the contract.

The new generation of ticket vending machines provides single ride tickets and season passes. In the near future, Hanover passengers will be offered the convenient payment methods of bank card (EC-card) as well as banknotes.

Höft & Wessel is providing a smooth integration of the ticket vending machines into üstra‘s IT infrastructure. The installation of the new ticket vending machines is planned to be completed by mid 2009. The new contract continues the successful partnership between üstra and Höft & Wessel. In 2006 Höft & Wessel equipped the complete bus fleet with driver operated electronic ticket machines.
