PADCON joins the HOCH.REIN Group - HOCH.REIN takes over PID Solutions / Float Controller product segment, along with the PADCON naming right

(PresseBox) (Kitzingen, Germany, )
Further developing technologies for the worldwide PV market is one of the HOCH.REIN Group’s main focuses, and it is constantly investing in ways to create a sustainable future. Most recently, the holding company invested in float-controller technology. By taking over the PID (Potential Induced Degradation) Solutions business line through an asset deal in December 2019, HOCH.REIN continues to expand its portfolio in the field of renewable energy.

PADCON GmbH (a member of the HOCH.REIN Group) specializes in developing and implementing anti-PID solutions, benefiting HOCH.REIN by contributing a combination of expertise and long-time experience in float-controller technology that increases the output of degraded solar plants once more. This technology had started being used successfully on the market in 2011 – well before the takeover. PADCON GmbH operates worldwide with its PID solutions (float controller) products.

The takeover sees float-controller technology go back to its roots. Co-founder of HOCH.REIN GmbH, Bernhard Beck, who has initiated many technological developments on the global PV market, was the driving force behind float-controller technology at the time. “This technology provides a means of both simply and effectively stopping PID on PV systems, and successfully regenerating affected modules,” Beck explains. The output of PV systems fitted with float controllers is restored to nearly nominal capacity within the first 30 days.

The float controller and other products mean the HOCH.REIN Group are excellently equipped to handle the technical challenges of the future PV market. And by merging with the HOCH.REIN Group, PADCON GmbH, with the PID business line, gains access to a large international network and industry experts. “Our decade-long experience on the PV market, our expertise and our know-how enable us to make ongoing technological advancements to meet all customer and country-specific requirements,” adds Guido Gerlach, Managing Director of HOCH.REIN GmbH.
