Umsatzstärkstes Produktsegment war im Dezember Kapitalmarktprodukte mit rund 42,4 Mio. Kontrakten. Davon entfielen unter anderem 18 Mio. Kontrakte auf den Euro-Bund-Future als umsatzstärkstes Eurex-Produkt, 11,3 Mio. Kontrakte auf den Euro-Bobl-Future und weitere 10,2 Mio. Kontrakte auf den Euro-Schatz-Future, der gegenüber dem gleichen Vorjahresmonat 11 Prozent zulegte.
Aktienbasierte Derivate verzeichneten im Dezember einen Umsatz von 43,8 Mio. Kontrakten, die sich aufteilen in 26,3 Mio. Kontrakte bei Aktienindexderivaten und 17,5 Mio. Kontrakte bei Aktienoptionen. Umsatzstärkstes Aktienindexderivat war der Future auf den DJ Euro STOXX 50-Index; hier stieg der Umsatz gegenüber dem Dezember 2004 um 15 Prozent auf 12,1 Mio. Kontrakte. Bei den Aktienoptionen hat sich der Umsatz der meistgehandelten Option auf Allianz gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat fast verdoppelt auf 2,9 Mio. Kontrakte.
Auf der elektronischen Handelsplattform Eurex Bonds, die das Angebot von Eurex im Bereich Fixed Income komplettiert, wurden im Dezember 10,5 Mrd.. Euro (Einfachzählung) gehandelt (Dezember 2004: 10,8 Mrd. Euro). Insgesamt verzeichnete Eurex Bonds im Jahr 2005 mit einem Umsatz von 149,3 Mrd. Euro eine Steigerung von 6 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr.
