The former Chairman, Kurt F. Viermetz, is leaving the Supervisory Board as announced.Dr. Manfred Gentz was born in Riga on 22 January 1942. He studied law at the University of Lausanne and the University of Berlin. In 1970, he joined what is now Daimler AG, Stuttgart, where he was appointed to the Board of Management in 1983 after holding a variety of management positions in the group. He was initially responsible for Human Resources, afterwards for Daimler-Benz-Interservices, an area which he set up, and subsequently for Finance and Controlling until leaving 2004. He performes a number of supervisory board mandates in several different international companies, among other activities. As the President of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Germany he is member of the Executive Board of the global institution and is member of the government commission German Corporate Governance Codex.
In 2003, he was appointed to the Deutsche Börse AG Supervisory Board.Gerhard Roggemann was born in Bremen on 2 January 1948. He studied Law at universities in Munich, Lausanne and Kiel, obtaining his degree in 1974.
Since 2004, he has served as Vice Chairman for the advisory firm Hawkpoint Partners Europe, heading up Mergers & Acquisitions and Financial Services. From 1996 until 2004, Roggemann was a member of the Managing Board of WestLB AG.
Prior to that he held positions at Norddeutsche Landesbank, Hannover, as well as J.P.Morgan & Co, Frankfurt and Tokio. Roggemann has been a member of the Deutsche Börse AG Supervisory Board since 2005.Kurt F.
