In the survey Clearstream also qualified for a ranking in four European domestic markets. In Germany and Luxembourg, where Clearstream acts as the national CSD, it has been ranked in top position. Importantly, Clearstream has also been ranked second in Austria and first in Belgium where Clearstream enjoys a considerable share of the fixed income sub-custody market.
This new survey confirms the findings of an earlier study undertaken by 'Global Custodian' magazine in late 2004. That survey also rated Clearstream as the best ICSD in the industry. The results showed that Clearstream received higher scores that its main competitor in all nine service categories and Clearstream's overall rating showed a marked increase on previous years.
Jeffrey Tessler, CEO at Clearstream International said, "These two widely-respected surveys are very important to us as they underscore Clearstream's focus on delivering service improvements and product solutions in partnership with our customers."
