Compact unit LUBRI-CONT for real-time monitoring of water-mixable cooling lubricants

GIMAT GmbH Liquid Monitoring, German manufacturer of systems for liquid monitoring, presents its new compact unit LUBRI-CONT. This enables economical real-time control of water-mixable cooling lubricants for metalworking applications. The core of the LUBRI-CONT system consists of a special pH electrode and an associated measuring transducer, an in-line refractometer for measuring the concentration of the oil-water mixture and a micro pump. All components are designed in such a way that maintenance can be carried out quickly and the maintenance intervals are very long. Everything is fully assembled on a mounting plate, which can be attached close to the storage tank and is ready for connection.   The LUBRI-CONT is suitable for continuous operation, all measured values ​​are displayed on site and constantly updated. The user can thus react immediately, e.g. by adding concentrate and / or additives. In addition, the measured values ​​are output via an interface. Connected to a controller, the addition of preparation water and fresh oil can easily be automated. A module for remote data transmission (RDT) is optionally available for the LUBRI-CONT, which means that the measured values ​​can be transmitted wirelessly.   Constant, consistent monitoring can significantly increase the service life of water-mixable metalworking fluids. This saves the company costs for the fresh preparation of the emulsion and the expensive disposal of a cooling lubricant. In addition, a longer service life contributes to more sustainability, reduces the consumption of resources and thus serves to protect the environment.   The LUBRI-CONT from GIMAT offers users the advantages of a modern fluid management: The cooling lubricant is always in perfect condition, resulting in high processing quality and cost savings at the same time.
