RAC 2009 Birmingham

interest continues to focus on energy efficiency

(PresseBox) (Frickenhausen, )
Bock showcased itself at RAC 2009 from 24th to 26th February. The German compressor manufacturer demonstrated its compressor solutions at Great Britain's leading exhibition for refrigeration and air conditioning.

As was the case in 2007, this year the main topics of interest to the British visitors were once again energy efficiency and natural refrigerants, with CO2 still leading the way.

Bock demonstrated how these challenges are tackled from the refrigerant compressor perspective on its 50 m² exhibition stand.

The Bock EFC system
A few years ago, Bock first presented its semi-hermetic compressors with in-built direct frequency converter. This intelligent compressor control technology has an energy-saving potential of 25% and higher. A few months ago Bock also started offering these EFC systems for all semi-hermetic compressors. Models HG12P toHG34P with direct in-built frequency converter and models HG4 to HG8 with separate frequency converter are operated under the description EFCe (e for external).

The CO2 refrigerant
The future of refrigerants continues to be the topic of many discussions in Great Britain too.
CO2 plays a pivotal role for most companies. As one of the pioneers of this technology, once more Bock demonstrated its market-ready compressor solutions for use in sub-critical cascade systems as well as transcritical CO2 systems.
