Gartner identifiziert die Top 10 der strategischen Technologien für 2008

Das IT-Marktforschungs- und Beratungsunternehmen Gartner hat die Top 10 der Technologien und Trends ermittelt, die für Unternehmen im Jahr 2008 strategisch bedeutsam sein werden. Gartner definiert eine Technologie als strategisch, wenn sie einen signifikanten Einfluss auf ein Unternehmen in den nächsten drei Jahren ausüben kann. Faktoren für diesen Einfluss sind unter anderem ein hohes Veränderungspotential hinsichtlich IT oder Business, ein erhöhter Investitionsbedarf oder das Risiko einer zu späten Anpassung.

David Cearley, Vice-President für Informationstechnologie beim Gartner Symposium, sagt: "Unternehmen sollten diese Technologien in ihrem strategischen Planungsprozess berücksichtigen, indem sie sich in den nächsten zwei Jahren Schlüsselfragen stellen und wohl überlegte Entscheidungen treffen."

3. Modellierung von Geschäftsprozessen
4. Metadaten-Management
5. Virtualisierung 2.0
6. Mashup & Composite Applikationen
7. Web Plattform & Web-orientierte Architektur (WOA)
8. Computing Fabric
9. Real World Web
10. Social Software.
