As in previous years, the SKZ is once again awarding the “Premium Partner” award retroactively for 2024 to companies that work together with the Plastics Center to advance the industry. In cooperation with Meusburger, an injection molding error catalog was developed as a 'solution aid for injection molders' and published in printed form. Moulding faults can be identified here on the basis of fault patterns and rectified by means of the described corrective measures. The error catalog is available free of charge from Meusburger and the SKZ and is available in German, English and Italian.
Cooperation at eye level and added value for the plastics industry

However, the error catalog is not only used by customers in their daily operations. It is also used for further training at the SKZ. Every participant in the training course “Injection molding errors - causes and troubleshooting” also receives a copy of the reading material to prepare for and follow up on the course.
“It's amazing how many injection molding companies in Germany and abroad now use the error catalog to find solutions. From trainees to specialists, from designers to setters, the little booklet is used and helps to improve the quality of injection molded parts,” says Bernhard Hennrich, Group Manager Research and Development in the Injection Molding Division.
The companies Meusburger Georg GmbH & Co. KG and the SKZ Plastics Center are working together to continuously update the troubleshooting guide and also launch a digital version on the market. This collaboration is also bearing fruit in the areas of research and networking.
