From April 2025, the SKZ Plastics Center invites you to a free webinar series! Every month, participants will receive fresh, innovative knowledge from the most exciting areas of plastics research, development and processing and thus keep their finger on the pulse of the times.
The rapid and practice-oriented transfer of innovative knowledge from research to industry is crucial for an innovative and strong economy. This is precisely where the SKZ, as an institute of the Zuse Association, forms a necessary bridge between basic research and application with targeted technology transfer to SMEs.
In the hectic day-to-day business, companies in particular are faced with the challenge of continuously strengthening and maintaining the crucial links between research and application and using them to add value to their own business activities.
The Würzburg Institute would therefore like to inform its members, customers, partners and interested parties promptly and efficiently about current developments along the entire value chain of the plastics industry. “That's why we are now offering the monthly SKZ Knowledge Lounge - a series of free live webinars. Here, interested parties can obtain and exchange information about the latest research activities and results in a compact and targeted manner - and in a minimum of time,” explains Dr. Benjamin Baudrit, Deputy Managing Director Education & Research at SKZ.
The first webinar will start in April 2025 and will cover topics ranging from A for additives to Z for non-destructive testing of plastics. Currently, relevant topics on the use of bio- and nano-additives, the use of liquid colors in injection moulding, adhesive-free joining of plastics, accelerated permeation measurement on pipes and the sustainability optimization of lightweight products will be presented.
