e2v partners with FRAMOS for Imaging Sensor Distribution

FRAMOS, the Germany based provider for imaging solutions and distributor for image sensors and related components today announced it has been appointed by e2v as official distributor for their entire CMOS image sensors portfolio. FRAMOS will today focus on e2v’s JADE, SAPPHIRE, RUBY and ONYX global shutter sensor series up to 2 Mpixels, especially allowing to address special imaging applications in the near infrared (NIR) segment or under extreme low-light imaging conditions, or providing sensors in extended temperature range.

e2v has over 30 years’ experience in designing, manufacturing and delivering image sensors and cameras, CCD image sensors, arrays and cameras and EMCCD image sensors. These operate across the electromagnetic spectrum from x-ray, through ultraviolet and visible light, to near infrared. e2v’s expertise has resulted in their involvement in some of the highest profile imaging projects, including being the eyes for NASA’s Hubble space telescope and providing the largest sensor array (106 sensors making a 1 GPixel array) for ESA’s GAIA mission to map the Milky Way.
