FACT-Finder Invitation for Internationalising eCommerce Conference

(PresseBox) (Pforzheim, )
Save the date! On 26th August, 2010, FACT-Finder's "Internationalising eCommerce" conference (www.iec-2010.com) will be held at the "Le Méridien Piccadilly" hotel in London. Search and navigation specialist FACT-Finder is a Pan-European software vendor in eCommerce.

The conference addresses CxO executives in the eCommerce market who already have gone international with their business or are planning to do so. Conference language is English. On 25th August, the event will start with a get together dinner at the Le Méridien Piccadilly. Early bird advantage: Attendees registering until 7 July will receive a 20 per cent reduction on the conference fee.

Wellknown experts from different countries will present on topics like global and local expansion, aspects of multilingual presentation, strategies of search and navigation, payment systems and fraud prevention, logistics and the management of returned items, as well as on trends and challenges in international eCommerce.

Examples for best practices at global companies will complement the presentations. The conference, MC'ed by the wellknown "internet psychologist" Graham Jones, will offer plenty of opportunity for chat, networking and discussion in an atmosphere both informal and cosmopolitan.

Internalisation, a topic connected equally with challenge and opportunity, is a matter of growing urgency because of the increasing globalisation of markets. In online shopping, barriers in the form of languages and national borders seem to hardly matter anymore. In reality, however, the demands on participants in international eCommerce are quite extraordinary. The saying "as many different countries, as many different regulations and customs" applies equally to online shops and to brick and mortar shops, concerning aspects like customers' search behaviour, challenges in logistics, and payment methods.

The rapid development of international eCommerce has given FACT-Finder, an acknowledged player in European eCommerce, reason to organise the "Internationalising eCommerce" conference for the first time. FACT-Finder's errortolerant search solution is used in more than 800 of the global top 5000 online shops, processing more than seven million queries in online stores per day. That makes FACT-Finder one of the most widely used eCommerce tools in Europe and paves the path for its vendor to organise this international conference.
