Light and mobile: Phoenix 335 puls - an all-purpose power source, for any location

rootArc®, forceArc®, pulse - perfect design for perfect weld seams

(PresseBox) (Mündersbach, )
Throughout the world, the name Phoenix stands for professional Metal Inert Gas/Metal Active Gas (MIG/MAG) welding at the highest levels of quality and performance. EWM HIGHTEC WELDING from Mündersbach in Germany has integrated the special virtues and characteristics of this highly dynamic, fully digital inverter welding power source in a compact, light and ergonomic plastic casing with a wire feed: Weighing just 33 kilograms, the new "Phoenix 335 puls" is the ideal and flexible expert machine for construction sites, assembly work, workshops and production halls. With welding currents of between 5 and 330 amperes, it is equipped for virtually any welding task on structural or stainless steel, aluminium and aluminium alloys as well as copper. What's more, the power source masters MIG/MAG pulse and standard, forceArc®, cored wire, TIG (LiftArc) and MMA welding as well as air arc gouging. The rootArc® process variations are brand new; that also goes for superPuls® process switching. This allows instant switching from MAG processes to pulse, either automatically or manually.

With its powerful, directionally stable arc, forceArc® reduces production costs by up to 50 percent and provides for deep penetration and virtually spatter-free seams of the highest quality.

rootArc®, another innovation from EWM research, is characterised by a stable, soft, short arc with considerably less spatter tendency than with standard short arcs: ideal for easy bridging of seam gaps and positional welding as well as simple and reliable root welding - with all sheet and pipe wall thicknesses, in all positions and without pool backing.

Pulse welding guarantees perfect, spatter-free welding results when joining stainless steel and aluminium - thanks to controlled drop transfer and targeted, adapted heat input.

The numerous welding variations are managed and regulated by the especially powerful and convenient Progress controls. In addition, the Progress has more than 115 programmed welding tasks (JOBs); each JOB has, in turn, more than 16 programs. These can be called up by all MT function torches at the workplace as well! The Synergic operation with clearly visualised, intuitive interface makes it even easier for the welder to operate the Phoenix.

The cooling module in the new compact unit from EWM, the German technology leader, can be removed and secured particularly quickly without tools thanks to an innovative fastening system. The bolts are integrated in the casing: no protrusion, no risk of injury. A transport vehicle can also be added easily by hand - without specialist staff or special knowledge.
