EnviProt, einer der führenden Anbieter für intelligente Green-IT-Lösungen unterstützt als Sponsor das ungewöhnliche Projekt "Read across America - A Solar Powered Educational Tour" des Amerikaners William Grote: Mit Büchern und Informations-Broschüren über Nachhaltigkeit, Umweltschutz und Green-IT bewaffnet, durchquert Grote - auf seiner Website, Facebook und Twitter nur mit seinem Vornamen William vorgestellt - mit einem solarbetriebenen Vehikel auf drei Rädern den nordamerikanischen Kontinent.

William macht dabei an verschiedenen Schulen des Landes Station, um Vorträge über Umweltverantwortlichkeit und Nachhaltigkeit zu halten und Informationsmaterial zu verteilen. Green-IT-Spezialist EnviProt fördert William mit Sponsorengeld und Informationsbroschüren über umweltfreundliche Informationstechnologie wie Green-IT.

Das Fahrzeug, mit dem William Amerika bereist, ist - um dem Gedanken der Nachhaltigkeit gerecht zu werden - vollständig solarbetrieben und verursacht keinerlei Schadstoffemissionen. Die integrierte Batterie betreibt dabei auch seinen Laptop und einen Mini-Kühlschrank.
