Expert Exchange on Network Integration of PV and CSP

5th International Solar Integration Workshop, 19-20 October 2015 in Brussels

(PresseBox) (Darmstadt, )
The integration of renewable energy generators into the electricity grid is a critical factor in the restructuring of the energy sector. Experience and best-practice from projects in Europe and around the world will be showcased at the 5th Solar Integration Workshop, which runs in Brussels from the 19th to 20th October 2015. You may register online until 11th October.

"At the conference we expect again a large number of highly-experienced experts from companies and leading research institutes, who will exchange ideas and report on their latest experiences" says Dr. Thomas Ackermann, CEO of the organizer Energynautics GmbH.

The spectrum of topics ranges from Photovoltaic (PV) power plants to Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and from the integration of solar power in distribution networks to questions of supply security. Flexibility from conventional generators, insolation forecasts and grid code issues will also be intensively discussed.

In the program there is also the opportunity to take part in the "Solar Dinner" on the first evening of the event. Directly after the one-and-a-half-day conference follows the 14th Wind Integration Workshop from 20th to 22nd October 2015 at the same location. Participants of both events can profit from special discount rates. On 23rd October 2015 there is an excursion to the network expansion project "Stevin", carried out by network operator Elia near the Belgian coast.

The Solar Integration Workshop takes place at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel and the conference language is English. The program and registration rates can be found here: http://www.solarintegrationworkshop.org/
