Change in Management at Elementar

Dr. Hans-Peter Sieper changes to the supervisory board of the company

Dr. Hans-Peter Sieper, founder and president of Elementar Analysensysteme GmbH, will change after 26 years from CEO to the supervisory board of the company. Successor will be his son, Albrecht Sieper, who was already responsible for marketing and sales as managing director since 2014.

The company Elementar evolved 1990 from the analytical instrument division with 120 years tradition from the technology enterprise Heraeus in Hanau with 120 years tradition and after acquisition of the shares by Dr. Sieper has become a worldwide leading supplier of elemental analyzers for application in chemistry, environmental protection, food safety, product quality, energy efficiency and forensics. Having an export share of more than 85% in over 80 countries and 8 daughter companies worldwide, Elementar will still has its development, production and central administration at its 6,000 sqm new company building near Frankfurt.
After studies in chemistry and graduation in molecule spectroscopy in Jena Dr. Hans-Peter Sieper had leading positions altogether for 45 years at Carl Zeiss in Jena, Heraeus in Hanau und now Elementar with its wide business segment of instrumental analysis in areas like application, product and

development strategy, sales, marketing and finance management. He will further support the company with his extensive knowledge and experience.
Albrecht Sieper is graduate engineer in mechanical engineering (TU Darmstadt) as well as MBA (Steinbeis Hochschule). After his career start at BMW R&D Center in Munich with focus on knowledge management he worked in leading positions at Elementar for 13 years in areas like R&D, production, marketing, sales and administration where he did not only gained detailed knowledge but also actively influenced them. The change in generation was planned for a long time and sets the precondition for the further successful development at Elementar.
