EPG develops AI-driven logistics solutions based on NVIDIA Metropolis

Generative and Agentic AI Era in logistics

(PresseBox) (Boppard-Buchholz, Germany, )
EPG (Ehrhardt Partner Group) announces future-ready logistics solutions aimed to deeply integrate artificial intelligence into operational logistics, laying the foundation for an intelligent supply chain. The initiative combines NVIDIA AI infrastructure and NVIDIA Metropolis vision AI stack with EPG’s logistics expertise. The goal: the development of connected logistics systems that understand processes and proactively generate suggestions for optimization. At the same time, EPG is introducing its new Supply Chain Execution AI environment, EPG AURA™, which will serve as the technological AI-foundation for the company’s next phase of development. Both initiatives represent EPG’s continued transformation from a software provider to a technology solutions architect for AI-powered supply chains.

In the logistics industry, millions of decisions are made each day, covering everything from route planning and warehouse management to staffing. Until now, many of these decisions have been based on fixed rules and human intervention. With the introduction of artificial intelligence, however, this logic is changing fundamentally. Systems are now able to interpret events in real time, simulate scenarios, and generate solution and optimization proposals. The combination of NVIDIA DeepStream, a real-time streaming analytics toolkit within NVIDIA Metropolis, and GPU-accelerated platforms enables the foundation for powerful visual analysis of logistics processes with real-time detection and predictive intelligence.

AURA: The Next Generation of EPG’s AI-environment

Alongside the expansion of its AI initiatives, EPG is entering a new technological phase with AURA. AURA represents the next evolutionary stage within the EPG ONE Supply Chain Execution Suite. Its architecture is designed from the ground up for intelligent, generative, and agentic AI-based processes. AURA extends the EPG ONE Suite with a network of specialized AI agents that contextualize information, derive decision paths, and purposefully prepare operational decisions. The environment thus forms the backbone of various logistics modules, identifies interdependencies, evaluates possible actions, and operates within clearly defined corporate goals and governance rules.

Peter Bollinger, CEO of EPG, explains, “With AURA, powered by NVIDIA, a new era of logistics begins. Our AI environment understands the dynamics of the supply chain, identifies risks early, and takes action before disruptions occur. The result is more stable processes, higher efficiency, and fewer errors.” AURA also represents EPG’s transformation through the use of Gen-AI and Agentic AI. The environment  enhances the EPG ONE Suite and unites planning, control, and optimization into an intelligent cycle of insight and action. It integrates applications, systems, and data spaces into a seamless representation of the entire supply chain. In doing so, EPG is creating the foundation for a new generation of agent-based system architectures designed for stability, resilience, and speed.

Two Paths, One Direction

The integration of NVIDIA DeepStream and the introduction of AURA mark the beginning of a new phase of technological development at EPG. Both initiatives complement each other: NVIDIA DeepStream provides the technological depth for the visual components, while AURA delivers the environment for the widespread deployment of intelligent systems in logistics. Together, they illustrate the direction in which EPG is heading, moving away from connected tools and toward an open, intelligent ecosystem that thinks, connects, and monitors supply chains in real time. “We are evolving from a software provider into a technology architect, setting the pace for the logistics of the future,” concludes Bollinger. “With NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure and AURA as our AI-environment, we are creating the foundation for true autonomy in the supply chain of the future.”
