EFI übernimmt Metrix Software

EFI(TM) (NASDAQ: EFII) hat Metrix Software, einen Spezialisten für automatisierte Druckbogenoptimierung und Druckplanung mit Sitz in Edmonds (Washington, USA), übernommen. Dies gab EFI, weltweit führend mit kundenorientierten Innovationen im Digitaldruck, heute bekannt.

Finanzielle Details der Akquisition wurden nicht veröffentlicht. Mit wesentlichen Auswirkungen auf das Abschneiden EFIs im vierten Quartal oder Gesamtjahr 2013 wird jedoch nicht gerechnet. Rohan Holt, Gründer und bisheriger CEO von Metrix, leitet nun den Geschäftsbereich EFI Metrix. Übernommen wurden auch alle übrigen Mitarbeiter des Unternehmens.

"Mit dem äußerst engagierten, kenntnisreichen Metrix-Team sehen wir uns für unseren weiteren Innovationskurs noch besser aufgestellt - zum Nutzen unserer Kunden, denen wir zu einer immer schlankeren, wirtschaftlicheren Druckproduktion verhelfen möchten", erklärte Marc Olin, Senior Vice President und vorläufiger CFO (EFI), General Manager (EFI Productivity Software).

"EFI ist unangefochtener Marktführer bei Workflowlösungen für die Druckproduktion", so Rohan Holt. "Die Integration mit unseren Produkten wird nun auf eine neue Ebene gehoben - für unseren internationalen Kundenstamm ein enormer Gewinn."
