ecotel achieved revenues of € 72.5 million (€ 79.1million) in the first nine months of 2009. The ordinary course of business is on track despite the difficult economic situation; third quarter revenues were € 24.1 million and thus on par with the previous quarter's revenues.
EBITDA in the third quarter was € 1.3 million and equal to the previous quarter's EBITDA. The cumulated EBITDA for the first nine months of 2009 was € 3.8 million (€4.8 million). EBIT in the first nine months was € 0.9 million (€ 2.2 million). The amicable settlement with Tiscali led to a positive finance result and Net income for the first nine months of € 1.2 million (€ 0.9 million). This amounts to earnings per share of € 0.31.
Due to extraordinary effects (settlement with Tiscali and KfW loan) the company was able to strengthen its liquid funds and its cash position to € 4.4 million. In addition, ecotel reduced its net debt from € 12.2 million to € 9.8 million. The equity ratio grew from 42.2% to 43.1%.
As a first success in the area of product development ecotel meanwhile sells full access product bundles based on the infrastructure of alternative carriers (e.g.Versatel) in called "onnet" regions in addition to full access products of Deutsche Telekom AG. ecotel intends to offer this product to business customer with the need of a "real" ISDN access line at attractive prices. By means of a migration from preselection- to full access products ecotel expects to stabilize its customer base and to strengthen its competitive position with net additions to its customer base.
Against of the background of its current business performance ecotel maintains its guidance for 2009 and expects to generate revenues of appr. € 95-100 million and to generate an EBITDA adjusted for extraordinary cost and revenues of € 5 million.Furthermore, the company expects to reduce its net debt to Zero until 2011.
