The future is digital, electric and smart

EcoG and Infineon will attend the eMove360°

(PresseBox) (Munich, )
The future of EV charging is digital, electric and smart - EcoG will attend the eMove360 and showcase the Reference Design for the bidirectional DC Wallbox from EcoG and Infineon Technologies as well as the new EcoG Starter Kit.

From 16th to 18th November 2021 the eMove360 trade fair for sustainable mobility in urban and rural areas will open its doors at Messe München. As one of the leading providers of complete software solutions for the development and operation of EV chargers, Munich-based EcoG GmbH will of course be among the exhibitors. In Hall 6, Stand 320, the forward-looking start-up company will present its market-leading software operating system for DC charging stations.

The focus is on the two new developments of EcoG: The EcoG Starter Kit, the first complete development solution for DC chargers and the first bidirectional charging control software with EcoG | OS for Wall boxes. The Starter Kit significantly professionalizes and simplifies the development. With the EcoG Starter Kit including development tools, the EcoG DC charger reference architecture, and EcoG | OS, the complete charger prototype is available for development on Day 1. This reduces time-to-market significantly. Visitors will find a wealth of information about the StarterKit at the booth which enables customers to commission their prototype charging station within 6 weeks. On top of that, visitors have the opportunity to get information on the first bidirectional DC BiDi Wallbox Reference Design for 2022 from EcoG and Infineon.

Thinking out of the Wallbox

Bidirectional charging is the number one topic among experts from the automotive and energy industries. The focus is on auxiliary services for the grid, the smart use and storage of residual energy and new business models based on swarm storage and permanent availability. The reliability and interoperability of these technologies are the greatest challenges at the moment. EcoG and Infineon are tackling these challenges with their bidirectional DC BiDi Wallbox Reference Design. The Reference Design combines the solutions and know-how from Infineon and EcoG. To be more precise, Infineon, the market leader for power solutions, provides its CoolSiC™ MOSFET, EiceDRIVER™ gate driver und AURIX™ microcontroller used in automotive and industrial applications. EcoG as market leader in EV charger operating systems contributes EcoG | OS and its charger controller technology. EcoG | OS has the bidirectional charging functionality integrated on the OS level. With this solution from EcoG and Infineon, customers have the opportunity to individualise and start producing their Wallbox in a very short time frame.

Start with the EcoG StarterKit

EcoG presents the advantages of the Starter Kit live to trade fair visitors using a real charging process at their booth. The outstanding advantage of the Starter Kit is the short time to production-ready DC charger prototype. Customers use the Starter Kit to individualize their own prototype and work from day 1 with a fully working DC charger. The development environment based on EcoG | OS enables the customization of components and cabling in a very short time cycle with a continuous functional verification. To give all interested parties the opportunity to visit the EcoG booth 320 at hall 6 at short notice, the start-up is offering free tickets for the eMove360 available on its own website at https://ecog.io/emove360.

EcoG GmbH

EcoG | OS is the software operating system and IoT platform for EV charging stations, the “Android” for EV chargers. EcoG | OS is everything in software needed to develop and run a DC charger. The team of EcoG has been driving standardization and innovation in the e-mobility space since 2008 with the creation of the CCS standard, the OppCharge standard as well as the world’s first DC high power chargers. Today EcoG serves customers worldwide with its products and solutions to build the next generation of DC chargers and monetize them beyond power. Already 4% of 2021 DC charger production in Europe is based on EcoG OS.
