The Deutsche Oper Berlin in Charlottenburg is the largest of Berlin's three opera houses. It was opened in 1961 based on designs by Fritz Bornemann in the post-war modernist style. Today, the Charlottenburg theatre, with 1,859 seats, offers Berliners and visitors to the city the opportunity to experience opera and dance of the highest standard in an almost incomparable variety on more than 200 evenings a year.
The control and communication channels required for the smooth running of each performance converge in the opera's stage management system. This is where HARVEY really comes into its own. HARVEY® is a freely programmable audio DSP that offers numerous control interfaces and was developed by DSPECIALISTS GmbH for permanent installations in theatres, churches, hotels and conference rooms.
In addition to excellent audio quality, the simple and flexible interconnection of audio communication channels is a key feature. With the HARVEY Pro 8x8-DA-AES8 device, the flagship of the HARVEY series, up to 80x80 audio channels can be connected in the highest quality via Dante, AES or analogue. This enables precise and dynamic control of all audio components – both for stage calls and for processing the monitoring signal for those involved around the stage, in dressing rooms and offices.
