SAP SCM 7.0 EHP2-Based Service Parts Planning at Intuitive Surgical

SAP’s Service Parts Planning (SPP) solution is a comprehensive exception-based planning tool that supports complex service parts operations and planning for millions of product/location combinations. This presentation will provide organizations with several key takeaways in terms of valuable information on why SPP was selected, some of the business and technology issues that can significantly impact the success of the SPP project, the project road map, and the business benefits realized with key features/functionality. The audience will particularly benefit from an insight into potential minefields and functionality areas specific to the medical devices industry, for which enhancements and workarounds were designed and developed. In addition, there will be a special focus on key areas such as deployment and repair vs. buy, in which this implementation has enhanced the standard functionality other projects can benefit from.
